On Feb. 10th (Saturday) I begun my year of fishing Cherokee Lake. Fish were very scattered, and conditions were tough. I resorted to trolling and covering lots of water. The fish we caught were very nice Stripers. Fish in the 20 pound range this time of year fight extremely hard. It was a great day on the water and I enjoyed the challenge of catching fish on artificial bait. February fishing is HARD. When you land a fish this time of year, it is an accomplishment.
